It reads in the image and writes it on an SD card. On a windows system, all you need is win32 disk imager. Raspberry pi foundation has raw images of their Raspbian and NOOB on their website. I am assuming that you don’t have a Linux machine other than raspberry pi or you are still learning Linux. If you are already a Linux guru, this post is NOT for you.
